Artist Statement _ Michelle Marcotte Writer
Michelle spent decades writing reports to international and domestic governments, corporations and industry associations.
She now focuses on writing literature for children, youth and the adults who read to them.
Michelle's current children's books teach facts (such as history) and fancy (such as history as reported by Gnomes), empathy (as experienced by caring for animals), agriculture (by raising chickens), healthy approaches to living (by appreciating different vegetables and having fun exercising), cautionary tales (such as how to avoid activities that result in visiting the hospital emergency room), and religious cooperation -- all with fun and adventure and nice people.
Michelle thinks adults can have fun books too - for example by learning how to walk in the rain while not getting wet (The Science of Zen Rainwalking)
She is actively searching for publishers who want to share in the fun of these books.
