My sisters are home canning
My sister Karen, my sister-in-law Ann and I used to get together each late summer at the lake to home can chutney and jam. One of my other sisters (also named Ann) and living near the ocean on in Victoria Canada , cans beets, jams and chutneys and sends me photos of her production. I miss this sisterly bonding experience and have painted the bright jars against a background of water, where all the work happens.
