I picked a sun-warmed dinner from my daughter's garden
I started gardening with my daughter when she was about 8 yrs old and she quickly surpassed me. She loves vegetable gardening and her gardens burst with produce. I picked these greens and tomatoes, took them in the kitchen wondering if I should eat them or paint them. I decided to photograph them (knowing I could pick more the next day), and ate them for dinner. Painted July 24, 2020 at peak flavor!
Oil on canvas. 8" x 10" X 1.5". Painted all around the sides, no need to frame.
