Hopeful Signs
Spring of 2021 gave me hope that, hopefully soon, post-pandemic life would be back to normal. In early spring National Arboretum horticulturalist David Kidwell-Slack and children's book author Graeme Gilmour gave me permission to use their photos as references for this painting. Their photos, much changed, and the sense of hope spring gave me, resulted in this very large painting.
