Females come in all shapes and sizes. Some are prickly
Fruit is the ovary of a plant. In the summer of 2016, every time I cut open fresh fruit I was struck by the beauty of the inside of each piece. The femaleness was quite apparent. One day I gathered all these pieces of fruit at the supermarket, brought them to the supermarket's cafe, cut them open, arranged them and began to paint. My sister Joan a rural family physician who does gynecology and baby deliveries suggested the background color in graphic language. Oil on canvas. 16" x 20" framed in black.
