Canadian artist Mary Pratt died August 14 2018
Mary Pratt was born in New Brunswick but lived and painted in Newfoundland (Canada). A wonderful artist and engaging personality, she painted life through the things she saw in her home, with a sharp, colorful realism, and sometimes a sharp commentary. I admire her so much and find solace in knowing that the things I like to paint were also appreciated by someone else. I will be happy if this homage encourages you to look at the art of Mary Pratt and read about her life.
