Oil painting Barbara's Camellias by Michelle Marcotte

Barbara's Camellias

Our friend Barbara cut three varieties of camellia flowers from her garden to send home with me. I was with her and got two fire ant stings on my feet. I put the flowers in my shallow blue pottery bowl (made by Gainesville potter Allison LeBaron), then went out to find a cream to make the fire ant stings stop itching. Painted from reality in my dining room. Background is textured white with some pinks shading.
16" x 16" x 2" oil on canvas. Painted all around, no need to frame.
