Oil painting Alachua county after the hurricane. Damaged but surviving by Michelle Marcotte

Alachua county after the hurricane. Damaged but surviving

This tree, in my Alachua county neighborhood, lost two thirds of its branches during the hurricane storms of October 2017. I was amazed it was still living even though its dead branches were piled up all around it. The painting honors its survival. Donated to the Gainesville Fine Arts Association as a fundraiser.
8"x 8" oil and permanent ink on canvas.
